Volunteers care for a puppy or adult dog in their home for short periods as needed. Temporary homes, or temp homes, provide a safe and loving environment where a puppy will learn, or an adult dog will maintain, housebreaking, obedience, excellent house manners, and socialization in public places.
Hours of Volunteering:
The volunteer temps the puppy or adult dog for a scheduled time period, normally about two weeks.
(1) Puppy orientation class, (2) dog handling orientation, and (3) a home check by a Foundation representative. Veterinary care and dog food is provided by the Foundation.
