The Guide Dog Foundation is excited to announce the Dogs on the Catwalk Fashion Show in partnership with 'Master Pet Couturier' Anthony Rubio. Dogs on a Catwalk is scheduled for Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Heritage Club at Bethpage, home of the legendary Bethpage Black PGA Golf Course.
Rubio, an internationally celebrated designer, creates pet couture that is considered collectible art inspired by anything from movies to fairy tales, and by the best women's wear couturiers of Europe. The ticketed event will spotlight couture canine designs from Rubio's fall collection, modeled by his dogs, along with dogs from the Foundation guide and service dog programs. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Guide Dog Foundation's mission to improve the quality of life for people who are blind, have low vision, or have other special needs.
In addition to the fashion show, event guests will be treated to a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres hour, dinner, and a Guide Dog Foundation program graduate who will speak about their increased independence, enhanced mobility, and companionship with their new guide dog. Invitation will be available in August.
