Canine Care Team Support- Part time
15 hours per week, flexible 3 days at 5 hours each
Volunteer Services Manager and Chief Canine Care Officer
Under the direct supervision of the Volunteer Services Manager, assists in the orientation of new volunteers, provides administrative and office support for the Canine Care and Puppy Departments. Responsibilities include collection of veterinary records for dogs, set-up and help present orientation classes, indexing and scanning all office documents, assisting with screening of volunteers as needed, customer service, data entry, assisting with canine transport, general office support, and representing the Foundation at on and off-campus events.
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•High school diploma required. Two years college or relevant business experience strongly preferred.
•Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, scanning software, and database software. Ability to transfer photos and files between cameras, Foundation network, and community web pages.
•High level of organization and accuracy in all job responsibilities. Exceptional attention to detail.
•Ability to maintain positive, professional relationships with supervisors, coworkers, volunteers, blind and disabled consumers, and members of the public.
•Must possess and maintain Driver’s License in good standing.
The employee is required to:
-lift, push, or pull dog crates weighing up to 30 pounds.
-leash walk energetic dogs weighing up to 85 pounds
-stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
-drive and/or travel
-lift 25 pounds
-exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
-exert up to 10 pounds of force to move objects
