Donor Advised Funds - Another Way to Give & Change Lives

What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle that provides an immediate tax benefit to you and allows you to grant funds to charities of your choice. A donor-advised fund may sound like something that’s only for the ultra-wealthy, but it’s available to anyone who makes charitable contributions. Donor Advised Funds are a powerful platform for investing in the causes that matter most to you and supporting charitable organizations such as the Guide Dog Foundation. Contact your financial advisor or financial institution to learn more about the benefits of giving through a Donor Advised Fund.

How do I give through a donor-advised fund?

You can give in two ways:

1. Recommend a DAF grant through your financial institution or foundation
You can recommend a gift by contacting your financial institution or foundation or by granting online.

The grant will arrive at the Guide Dog Foundation with only the fund’s name and address on it, unless you request otherwise.*

2. Contact your fund manager
Did you know you can recommend a one-time grant or schedule ongoing donations?

Contact your financial advisor, institution, or fund manager for details on how to make a contribution to Guide Dog Foundation via your Donor Advised Fund.

Your fund manager will send a check directly to the Guide Dog Foundation from your fund.*

*Please request that your name and address be included to inform us of your gift, so we can thank you for your thoughtful and vital contribution.
