Every year, America's VetDogs hosts several special events.

5th Annual Long Island Run & Dog Walk – Saturday, July 27, 2019

The 5th Annual Long Island Run & Dog Walk will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, NY.  The 5K course will be officially measured.  Dogs are welcome for those who wish to do the 5K or take a leisurely 2-mile walk with their four-legged friends.  Virtual participation is available.  Help America’s VetDogs make a difference in the lives of veterans with disabilities by joining us on this run and walk, or by becoming a sponsor for this exciting event.

May 4, 2019 – Sgt. Stubby Screening – Huntington, NY

America’s VetDogs will be a beneficiary of funds from a screening of “Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero”. This came out in 2018 and is the story of a military working dog in World War I https://www.stubbymovie.com/. This event is taking place on May 4th from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Tickets are $5. It’s taking place at Cinema Arts Center located at 423 Park Avenue in Huntington, NY 11743. Other beneficiaries for this event are: American Legion Posts 360, 694 and 1244. 

May 4, 2019 – Spring Plant Sale – Garden City, NY

Women’s Ministries of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection has selected America’s VetDogs as a beneficiary of funds for their 13th year of hosting this annual plant sale.  This is the second year they have selected America’s VetDogs as a recipient of funds. More than $7,000 was raised last year. The event will take place at their church located at 420 Stewart Avenue in Garden City, NY 11530 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Please email to order in advance of the event.

May 5, 2019 (Sunday) –Staten Island Annual Dog Walk

The Rotary Club of Gateway Staten Island is hosting this pet-friendly event with a portion of the proceeds to benefit America’s VetDogs. This event takes place at Wolf Pond Park located at Cornelius and Chestnut Avenue in Staten Island, NY 10308. The registration desk opens at 8:00 a.m. with an opening ceremony to start at 9:00 a.m. For more information, please contact Frank Santora at 718-669-8886.

May 19, 2019 – 4th Annual Supreme Auto Service Center Car Show - Somers, CT

For the second year in a row, America’s VetDogs has been selected as a beneficiary of funds for this special event.  The event is taking place at the Pleasant View Café to begin at 10:00 a.m. The Foundation is encouraging weekend puppy raisers affiliated with the Osborn Correctional Institution to be in attendance and support this fundraiser in the Connecticut community. If you wish to feature your car the fee is $15. The fee for spectators is $5. Sponsorships are also available. To learn more, please call 860-882-9041. Rain date is June 2, 2019.

May 19, 2019 (Sunday) – 15th Annual Walk for a Cause

Bayport-Blue Point Community Lions Club are hosting this event with proceeds to benefit America’s VetDogs. All walkers are welcome with or without dogs. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed dog. Onsite registration and continental breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. at Blue Point Firehouse and the walk starts at 9:30a m. This event runs rain or shine. Early registration is $10 and walk-up registration is $15. A $25 family registration is also available. May 26-27, 2019 – 4th Annual Field of Honor Celebration – Ijamsville, MD

4th Annual Field of Honor Celebration will be held at St. Ignatius of Loyola in Ijamsville, MD over Memorial Day weekend.  This year a portion of the proceeds will support  America's VetDogs.  Please consider purchasing a flag to honor a veteran or first responder. September 7, 2019 – A Salute to Soldiers – Agawam, MA

This is the 2nd Annual Fundraiser hosted by Jack Chamberland in partnership with BarRated Trivia. This year’s fundraiser is a trivia game! The event will be held at the Polish American Club of Agawam and will begin at 5:00 p.m.  Tickets will be available for sale on Eventbrite for $25 – just type in "A Salute to Soldiers". Bring your smartest friends to compete for the grand prize, as you answer 25 questions on subjects that could range anywhere from science to history to pop culture. There will also be a customized VetDogs round and a music round where you could be asked to name the singer, the song title, etc. Every team will leave with a prize. Food will be served at 5:45 p.m. with trivia to start at 6:30 p.m. Don’t be late, as you won’t want to miss out on all the fun! There will be a BBQ buffet, raffle prizes, live music by C.A. Jones, and of course pups in training from the VetDogs organization! A graduate from the America’s VetDogs program may also be in attendance.

September 13, 2019 – Troops Golf Classic– Riverhead, NY

Join Thanks Troops at the Woods Cherry Creek Golf Club this fall. Proceeds for this year’s tournament will benefit America’s VetDogs, Folds of Honor, Navy SEAL Museum and the Marine Corps League. The price for an individual player is $195 and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. There will be vendors, contests and beverages on the course. This event always sell out. September 13, 2019 (Friday) – 6th Annual Divots for Service Dogs

Made possible by the Prison Pup Benevolent Association Company, this golf outing will support both America’s VetDogs and NEADS. The tournament will take place at the Highfields Country Club in Grafton, MA. If you are interested in becoming a tournament sponsor or reserving your spot on the course, please contact Laura Galvani via email.

September 20-22, 2019 – 4th Annual Jeremy Feder All-Star Charity Baseball Tournament - Oceanside, NY

Oceanside Little League and the Feder family will be hosting this baseball tournament for kids ages 8 -10 years old with all proceeds to benefit America’s VetDogs. Opening Ceremony starts on Friday night at Wrights Field in Oceanside, NY with the games to follow. Additional games to be held Saturday and Sunday.  Food and great raffle prizes will be will be sold starting at 6:30 pm on Friday, September 20th at Wrights Field located at 264 Mott St. in Oceanside.  To date, Jeremy has raised more than $16,000 for America’s VetDogs.  Registration will soon be available. September 23, 2019 - 15th Annual Culinary Delights Fundraiser at Carltun on the Park – East Meadow, NY

For the sixth year in a row, the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce selected America’s VetDogs as one of the charities to benefit from their very successful annual fundraiser to be held on Monday, September 23, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. Many restaurants from the local community go to this event to showcase their food specialty for the enjoyment of all registered participants. During the evening there will be raffles, food, fun and more! Tickets are $60 and if, you select America’s VetDogs on the back of your ticket, 50 percent of your paid ticket will go to the Foundation. Information on how to purchase a ticket can be found here.

September 24, 2019 – Dix Hills Golf League’s Annual Outing – Huntington, New York

Do you play golf?  Purchase a ticket to play in this special outing – ladies only.  Lunch and raffles to follow at a restaurant nearby the golf course.  All proceeds to benefit America’s VetDogs!  For additional information, email Susan.
