Foundation Hosted Events

Dogs on the Catwalk - Thursday October 10, 2019 

Join us for the highly anticipated 2nd Annual Dogs on the Catwalk canine couture fashion show.  Scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Heritage Club of Bethpage. In partnership with internationally celebrated designer Anthony Rubio, take in this unique pet couture fashion show considered as collectible art inspired by everything from movies to fairy tales.  The ticketed event will spotlight couture canine designs from Rubio's fall collection, modeled by his dogs, along with dogs from the Foundation guide and service dog programs.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the Guide Dog Foundation's mission to improve the quality of life for people who are blind, have low vision, or have other special needs. Community Fundraising Events


May 4, 2019 (Saturday) – 2nd Annual Hamptons Dog Show

Don’t miss this East Hampton Lions Club fundraising event.  Consider attending this fundraiser from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Post located at 15 Montauk Highway, East Hampton. Admission is $10 and entry fee for the dog contest is $30. Local pups can attend with their owners (21 or over).  Dogs should be registered by 1 p.m. Dogs expected to be well-socialized, friendly and on their leashes. There will be a cash bar, food and ice cream trucks, live music, dog treats, apparel and other animal products, face painting and tattoos for the kids. New this year, there is an agility course for your pet’s enjoyment and the Southampton Animal Shelter and Bidawee Animal Shelter will be present with adoption opportunities.  A portion of the proceeds will be given to the Guide Dog Foundation.

May 19, 2019 (Sunday) – Annual Plainview Bethpage Lions Club Charity Breakfast

Visit St. Pius X RC Church located at 1 Saint Pius Ct. in Plainview, New York to attend this breakfast. This is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Adults are $15 and children are $5 (FREE for kids under five). A portion of the proceeds from this fundraiser benefits Guide Dog Foundation in an effort to name a puppy as part of the puppy sponsorship program.

Third Party Fundraising

Last fiscal year, the following individuals, service clubs, and corporations have hosted fundraisers raising $10,000 or more on behalf of the Guide Dog Foundation.  We are grateful for their efforts to support people with disabilities.
