Charlie's Hold Evaluation

Charlie has reached several milestones in his training.  Recently he passed his basic obedience evaluation and now he is ready for his hold evaluation.  Being comfortable taking a dumbbell from his handler and holding on to it without playing with it and giving it up when asked is the basis of Charlie's ability to retrieve different object for his handler.  Politely waiting until Olivia asks for the dumbbell is hard work but Charlie is excelling at being a good listener.

In recognition of National Military Appreciation Month, Operation VetDogs will run throughout May with a goal to raise $500,000 in an effort to sponsor “Charlie’s Squad,” of ten service dogs for veterans with disabilities.

Special service dogs like Charlie, cost more than $50,000, but disabled veterans NEVER have to pay for their dog and training at America’s VetDogs. To kick off this special May campaign, we are thrilled to announce that a team of generous America’s VetDogs donors has already committed to the first $250,000, but we need your help to raise the remaining $250,000.
