Charlie - Hearing Dog Sounds

Charlie, Olivia and Katie have been working on hearing dog behaviors.  Some of the veterans we serve have hearing loss and having a dog that responds to common household sounds, like a timer, telephone or the smoke alarm, can increase their independence and give them a sense of security.

When a sound begins the dog goes to where the sound is happening, returns to the handler and nudges them to get their attention.  They then lead the handler back to where the sound is happening.

As always, Charlie is very excited to show off what he has learned and how he is going to help his veteran handler.
