Guide Dog Foundation To Hold Open House—Family Fun with Puppies, Guide Dogs and Loads More!

May 2, 2005

Smithtown, NY – The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc. invites the public to its campus for a special Open House. On Sunday, June 5, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., join the Foundation to learn about guide dog training, see our puppies and find out how to raise a future guide dog, meet the staff and inquire about volunteer opportunities. Tour the Guide Dog Foundation’s state-of-the-art campus, including the Training Center, Breeding and Development Complex, Student Residence Hall, National Administration Center and Student Union. 

The Guide Dog Foundation is located at 371 East Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown, New York. Parking will be available at the corner of Jericho Turnpike and John Jones Lane (about 1/8 mile west of the campus). Shuttle service will be provided to and from the campus. For more information please call the Guide Dog Foundation at 631.930.9050 or visit www.guidedog.org.

Please note: Only working dogs are allowed on campus during the Open House.
