There are many ways to support the Guide Dog Foundation, learn more about our sponsorship opportunities below.


$1,000 Noble Animal Friend 

Commemorate a special animal, whether a working animal or pet, and become a Noble Animal Friend. A brick will be engraved with the name of your choice that will be placed at the Foundation campus on our walk of honor. You can come for a VIP tour of campus and viewing of your brick, or a framed photo can be sent of your special brick.

Helps provide meals prepared by our on-campus chefs for a class of students for their two weeks of training on campus.  You will receive recognition as a Hospitality Sponsor during the class residency and will be invited to attend the class graduation Celebration. 

$6,000 Name a Puppy Sponsor 

The opportunity to give a puppy their name for life.  This gift helps cover the first year of life for a puppy-in-training.  You will receive photos and progress reports throughout the first year of the dog's life.  If your sponsored dog is matched with a student and graduates on campus, you will be invited to attend its graduation Celebration and have the opportunity to meet the student matched with your sponsored puppy.  Recognized in the Annual Report. 

$6,000 Dog Sponsor

This contribution helps to cover a portion of the costs associated with final training for one dog on their way to becoming a working guide/service dog.  A dog sponsorship is for a dog that has been matched with a person and about to graduate as a working assistance dog.  Dog sponsors will receive a certificate of recognition with a photo of the dog and graduate.  The sponsor will be invited to the graduation Celebration to meet the dog and its new handler.  Recognized in the Annual Report.

$8,500 Class Sponsor 

Supports room, board, training and transportation for a full class of students.  You will receive recognition as the Class Sponsor during the class residency and at the graduation Celebration.  You will have the opportunity to meet and have lunch with the class, and attend graduation. You will receive a framed photo and DVD presentation of the class training.  

$10,000 Kennel Run Sponsor

A personalized plaque that will hang on the front gate of a kennel run in our training center.  It is a permanent fixture that will be viewed by all who tour our campus each year. The kennel sponsor will be invited to our campus in Smithtown, NY for a VIP tour and an unveiling ceremony.  Recognized in the Annual Report as a Major Donor.

$15,000 Graduate Sponsor

Helps supply “care” package to new graduates. Package includes grooming kit, bed, toys, heartworm medicine, flea and tick medication, collars and leashes, etc.  Graduate sponsors are invited to our campus for a VIP tour, and attend a graduation Ceremony. Recognized in the Annual Report as a Major Donor.

$25,000 Fleet Sponsor

Helps to purchase a training vehicle to transport students, staff and dogs.  Fleet Sponsors receive visual recognition on the vehicle for the lifetime of its service.  Fleet sponsors are invited to our campus for a VIP tour. Recognized in the Annual Report as a Major Donor. 

$35,000 Training Sponsor

Give a gift that helps provide the care, feeding, equipment needs and training of a group of 8 to 16 dogs assigned to a certified instructor while in formal training, prior to being matched with students.  Training sponsors will receive a framed photo of the dogs your gift helped to train, and are invited to our campus for a VIP tour and opportunity to meet a certified guide or service dog instructor to learn more about how our dogs are trained.  Recognized in the Annual Report as a Major Donor. 

$50,000 Team Sponsor

Your gift helps create a working guide/service dog and student team, including formal training of a dog by our certified instructors, as well as the training for both the dog and the person with whom the dog is matched, along with a life-time of after-care services.  You will receive a framed photo of the graduate and their dog, and on graduation Celebration you will have the opportunity to meet the team that was joined by your gift and receive a DVD of the presentation of the class, along with recognition in the Annual Report as a Major Donor.

$150,000 Freedom Sponsor

Your generous gift will help underwrite the room, board, and training of each class of students for one fiscal year. (For Fiscal year 2017, July 1, 2015-June 30, 2017 there are 17 two-week classes, of five to twelve people per class.) Your gift helps create working guide or service dog teams, including the dogs’ formal training by our certified instructors, as well as the training, housing and transportation for students and their new dogs paired in class.  

As a Freedom Sponsor, at the end of the fiscal year you will receive a bound yearbook of pictures of each class, recognizing your generous commitment to helping our graduates live their life without boundaries.   You will have an opportunity for a VIP campus tour, to dine with a class of students and attend a graduation Celebration of your choice.  You will also receive invitations to special events and gatherings and updates on our mission throughout the year.  You will also be recognized in the Annual Report as a Major Donor and will be added to our Donor Wall found in the lobby of the National Administrative Building.

In addition, at our Smithtown, NY campus, we also have numerous capital naming opportunities ranging from $10,000 - $2 million.  Naming opportunities involve permanent recognition and signage for specific areas of giving, and locations on campus vary.  Please let our Development staff know if you are interested in learning more about capital or other project specific giving opportunities.
